A proud first-generation Sri Lankan-American, born in Baltimore, and raised in Michigan. My parents were trailblazers in our family, immigrating from Sri Lanka to America in the early 1970s. Years later, I was born while my father pursued his post-doc at Johns Hopkins University. Shortly after, in 1993, we relocated to Michigan when my father began his 27-year career at Ford Motor Company.
Growing up just 45 minutes from Ann Arbor, becoming a Michigan Wolverine was a lifelong dream. In 2007, I began my undergraduate journey at the University of Michigan and graduated in 2011.
Nine years later, I returned as an Executive MBA candidate at the Ross School of Business. In 2022, I graduated with Honors and had the honor of delivering the Commencement Address for my class.
Northwestern University, Executive Leadership Education for Organizational Change – 2022
While completing my MBA at the Ross School of Business, I had the privilege of working with an elite Executive Coach, which sparked my interest in leadership coaching. This led me to attend Northwestern University’s Executive Coaching Program.
Rooted in the School of Education and Social Policy, Northwestern’s program merges design thinking with organizational change principles, focusing on lifelong learning. The program requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 15 years of post-BA work experience.
Northwestern’s Executive Learning and Organizational Change Level 1 Coaching Certificate is recognized by the Center for Credentialing and Education for Board Certified Coach accreditation.
