This image combines elements of an Eagle and a Lion, symbolizing my heritage as a proud American with strong ancestral roots in Sri Lanka.
I'm Chin Weerappuli. I grew up just outside of Detroit, Michigan, as a first-generation Sri Lankan American. Throughout my life, I've humorously stated that my biggest fear is being uninteresting. This doesn't mean lacking stories for a road trip, but rather losing my curiosity about the world around me, leading to a lack of unique experiences and a sense of apathy. To me, this is my ultimate fear.
I am committed to continuous learning and personal development. I appreciate opportunities to confront deeply ingrained beliefs with fresh insights, prioritizing the pursuit of knowledge over the comfort of familiarity. Life is short - let's get out there and take some chances.
Over the past 12 years, I've been blessed to have earned my Bachelors and MBA from the University of Michigan, founded two nonprofit organizations, joined the early team of a management consulting division within a healthcare software giant boasting over 11,000 employees, delivered the commencement speech for my MBA graduating class, worked under the direct guidance of Coach Jim Harbaugh, visited more than 40 countries, lived in 6 different states, completed the NYC Marathon, embarked on a new chapter as a VP in a clinical trials software firm, and perhaps most significantly, embraced the role of becoming an uncle.
In the grand scheme of things, life is fleeting. So, my mantra remains: Strive for a captivating life, be "Chinteresting."
